The works involved seismic upgrades to 20 Countdown stores on both the North and South Island, ranging from Auckland’s North Shore all the way to Invercargill. A minimum of 67% NBS was achieved at each store by adding structural bracing to walls and roofs of some of the stores, and seismic bracing to most services in all 20 stores.
The works were a complex undertaking dealing with various different Councils and location dependant requirements, as well as attending meetings and site visits throughout the country.
