Te Kōngahu Museum of Waitangi

Te Kōngahu museum of waitangi entrance

A purpose-built museum located at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, designed to protect and showcase significant national taonga and historical artefacts

Built sensitively within the surrounding landscape, the facility includes a large interpretation gallery, artefact storage, exhibition spaces, and education facilities, all supported by carefully controlled environmental systems.

MPM Projects provided project management services throughout the project, coordinating the complex design, procurement, construction, and exhibition installation processes. Attention was given to maintaining the visitor experience during construction and achieving the critical programme milestones required for the museum’s opening.
