Karekare Surf Lifesaving Clubhouse

K

Located on the edge of the Karekare Stream in the Waitakere Ranges, the Karekare Surf Lifesaving Club plays a pivotal role in the community spirit, enticing locals and visitors to enjoy the rugged coast of New Zealand

This state-of-the-art clubhouse has a large open plan communal area that can host 100 people with priceless views of the wild west coast for the entire local community to enjoy.  The facility also includes five bunkhouses, sleeping quarters for up to 30 people, along with a modern kitchen and considerable bathroom facilities.

Completion of this project in 2021 saw the end of an epic community journey where a huge community funding drive achieved the funds needed for the build.
