The project involved the construction of new dormitories to replace the original 1940’s accommodation housing. The new 1200m2 structure, located within the Whangaparaoa training base, is split into three interconnecting blocks and provides split level accommodation for 60 recruits. Each accommodation block contains solar panel hot water supply, ablutions, laundry facilities, wet changing area and outdoor relaxation area.
