This development located on North Wharf in Wynyard Quarter saw the refurbishment of the existing cargo shed and the construction of two new single storey buildings. The new buildings sit either side of the cargo shed & have been designed to enhance the public’s experience of the working wharf environment and its overall marine context.
To activate the building frontages the roof canopy has been extended further to provide shelter for pedestrians and tenancies are glazed on all sides with large areas of glazed bi-folding doors to enable activities to interact with public space. The buildings are now home to a number of popular food and beverage tenancies which have sparked new life into the area.
